Air Pollution Control System Horizon engineers will carry out an initial site survey, prepare detailed proposals, usually with a layout plan together with specification and costs. Illustrated on this page are typical examples of air pollution control systems. Extraction at source is the first choice in fume removal. Care is necessary to ensure good hood design for efficient collection. An integrated system of graded steel ductwork is necessary with flexible hoses as applicable, linking all sources of fume emission. A central station plant may comprise a modular air cleaning unit with separate fan/motor assembly or a complete package. Internal filters will comprise either electrostatic or mechanical or a combination of both. Horizon undertake the complete design, fabrication of all plant required, followed by installation, commissioning, leaving in a satisfactory running condition, and the issuing of an applicable COSHH certificate. On-going maintenance contracts are available together with periodic COSHH performance and testing of equipment. |
