Solder Fume Extraction
Solder fumes should, if possible, always be extracted at source. The SMOG-EATER range allows polluted air to be cleaned and the cleaned air recycled back to the workshop without necessity for external exhaust. Units with either electrostatic filters or mechanical filters are available, optional activated carbon gas filters for odour reduction can be supplied.

SMOG-EATER SE1.5M
Designed to serve a single extraction point is the Horizon SMOG-EATER Model SE1.5M when connected to a single Mini-Rambler as illustrated in bottom-left and bottom-right. The Mini-Rambler is available in a 1.0m radius and 1.5m radius.

The SE1.5M SMOG-EATER fume extractor system can be bench or floor mounted. For larger installations, any number of solder extraction points can be coupled together via a graded system of ductwork terminating with a suitably sized SMOG-EATER. The illustrationsto the left indicate typical solder fume extraction installations.

SMOG-EATER MODELS SE.6 & SE.6.M
The Model SE.6 SMOG-EATER is the smallest electrostatic air filter in the Horizon range.  The Model SE.6.M is a similar sized unit with mechanical filters. Both units are provided with either brackets for wall mounting or can be provided on legs for floor standing.  The SE.6 SMOG-EATER is ideally suited for linking together four/five Mini Rambler extraction arms e.g. solder fume extraction/filtration.  The Model SE.6.M is fitted with a cartridge filter. Units are available for either 220/240 volts single phase 50 cycles or 380/440 volts three phase 50 cycles.

Optional pressure gauge available for Model SE.6.M to indicate when the filter requires cleaning/changing.

A central solder fume extraction/filtration system serving various bench mounted Mini-Ramblers can also be extended to include hoods/canopies over flow solder machines etc.
