HEAT-RAD™ Radiant Heating Control Thermostats
Horizon manufacture a wide range of radiant heating
controls and control panels.
The MAX-ECON radiant heating control unit comprises two parts namely
the black bulb sensor and the black bulb radiant thermostat.
The Horizon MAX-ECON black bulb electronic controls,
provide extremely accurate comfort control by continuous monitoring
of air velocity, mean radiant temperature, and air temperature,
resulting in maximum energy conservation. They have the following advantages:
The black bulb radiant thermostat can be mounted anywhere convenient e.g. Manager's office, plant room etc. Only the sensor requires to be located in the heated space, and has no adjustment, preventing unauthorised interference.
True comfort conditions depend on the space air velocity, mean radiant temperature, and air temperature. The Horizon MAX-ECON control equipment takes into account all three.
Night set-back facility. Incorporated as standard to provide a reduced temperature for night operation controlled by optional time clock.
No maintenance. Sensor can be mounted up to 250 metres from thermostat unit.
HEAT-RAD™ Control Panels
Four standard sizes of zone control panels are manufactured, single
zone through to four zone. Larger units are built to order.
Each panel comprises mains on indicating light, heater
run indicating lights, mode switch, digital time clock and the requisite
number of MAX-ECON black bulb temperature controllers with night
set back facility.
Larger control panels built to order incorporate all the above mentioned features as standard with additional controls for either Octopus integrated exhaust flue systems or flue dilutionplant.
